The TPS (Toe Power Support) is a thermoshapable insert positioned under the forefoot. It provides a customised, anatomical fit to the front area of the shoe. The main benefits of the TPS are: a better support for the toes when pushing down hard, improved pulling capabilities and last, but not least, increased precision. When smearing, the TPS becomes extended so that it does not constrain movement and in doing so it helps to increase the area of the sole in contact with the rock to provide you with even more grip.
The X-TENSION™ system supports the arch- and forefoot area without taking away sensitivity like stiff midsoles. X-TENSION™ is combined with half soles.This active midsole concept adapts to the changing footshape while loading and unloading bodyweight to the forefoot area, effectively storing and releasing power. The tensioned rubber enhances toe power providing a direct connection among the front edge of the sole, the upper closure and heel area.
